Time: 12pm (Meetup and Walk) After walk then you are free to enjoy the Pub and have food or drink.

The walk will last approx 1 hour. If you are wanting to book a table for food after then please quote "THE MEETUP GROUP"
They will then know you are part of the group so that will help keep us together in the same part of the pub. (PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK YOUR TABLE DIRECT WITH THE PUB)
If you book a table and cannot make it then it's your responsibility to cancel your booking and not the responsibility of the Host or Group.
Can I remind all owners that dogs in the pub must stay on leads. We must respect all other customers in the Pub.

The village of Theale has had the nickname of 'The Ale' due to fact of having 13 public houses on the high street alone crammed between many family run businesses.

The yellow route is an easy access trail suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. All provide spectacular views over the downs. Once home to Anne Boleyn and one of Capability Brown’s last projects, Pishiobury Park is historic parkland, easily accessible from Sawbridgeworth or Harlow.
Today the park is an important home for a range of wildlife, attracted by the River Stort, the woodland and grassland found here. Come and see if you can glimpse a water vole, hear a cuckoo, or spot a Red Admiral butterfly.

To help keep the Meetups safe and fun can we please consider the following if you are to come to any of the future Meetup/gatherings. 1) Please remember some dogs can be possessive and aggressive when sharing toys or balls. Please keep this to a minimum while walking as a group as fights can occur suddenly due to dogs being unwilling to share. Your dog may be fine but other dogs that you don’t know may not be. 2) Please ask the owner’s permission when giving out treats as some dogs may have allergies or other health issues that could be affected by ingredients in treats. Also some dogs don’t like to share which could cause fighting among the pack. 3) Uncontrollable dogs must be kept on a lead. 4) Please respect other dog owners in the park if they are on a lead. This is your responsibility, not the host’s.
Dogs must be kept under close control at all times and on lead where necessary or requested by the walk leader/host.

Strict Liability
The Animals Act 1971 makes a “keeper” of a dog strictly liable for damage caused by the dog in certain circumstances. A person is a “keeper” of a dog if they own it or have it in their possession. In the case of a child less than 16 owning or having a dog in their possession the head of that child’s household may be deemed to be the keeper. That person remains the keeper until someone else fitting the qualifications succeeds them as a keeper. The Animals Act is very complicated and much is down to definition and case law. The best course of action is to ensure you have full control over your dog at all times and to question the competence of anyone you may entrust to look after your dog even for a short period of time. We also strongly recommend you ensure you take out third party liability cover as a precaution. A few moments thought could save a lot of heartache and expense!

It's fun and it's just a Walk in the Park.
Please check out our regular Meetup's below for more information. Don't forget you can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for even more updated information.
